Choose Closet Organizers

There are shoe racks that fit nicely underneath clothing.

Choose the right closet organizers to help keep your closets clutter free. Closet organizers are really helpful if you have a lot of clothes or things stored in your closet. In a small closet, organizers allow you to store your things in a neat and orderly manner. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Measure the dimensions of your closet. Use the measuring tape to measure the height, depth (from front to back) and the width of the closet. Write down your measurements on a sheet of paper and take them with you to the home supply store.

2. Remove all of the things from your closet and set them in piles according to their category. For example create piles of items based on how often you use them, seasons for clothing, accessories and shoes.

3. Examine the piles that you have made and make a note of which ones require the most storage space. If you have a lot of shoes get a closet organizer to accommodate them. If you have lots of folded clothing or clothing that hangs, buy racks and shelves designed to store these items.

4. Make a list on a sheet of paper of the basic storage needs you have. Take this list along with your measurements to the store.

5. Head to your local home supply store and look for closet organizers that match your needs. Closet organizer systems come in a variety of styles and sizes; if you have a really small closet purchase space saving organizers like sweater containers and multiple garment hangers. Ask a store employee to help you find the best organizers for your specific needs.
