Hang A Pegboard On A Closet Door

Store tools on your closet pegboard.

Pegboards are useful tools in a garage, craft room or any type of space where you need extra, yet very accessible, storage. In addition to the standard hooks to hold items, you can also get pegboard attachments such as shelves and bins to organize various things. Installing a pegboard on your closet door can be done on either side or both. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Measure the area of the pegboard between the outer-most corner holes. Transfer these measurements onto the closet door, marking an "X" where each corner hole goes.

2. Measure the thickness of the door. Mark that thickness on your drill bit with a piece of masking tape to ensure you don't drill through the door. Create four pilot holes.

3. Insert a screw through each of the four corner holes and into a pegboard spacer, which gives you room for hooks. Line up the screws and spacers with the pilot holes. Screw the pegboard into place to secure it to the closet door.
