Create A Child'S Bed From A Wardrobe

Wardrobe Made Into a Bed

There are unique ways to create beds and I think this is one of the best! This bed is for small children. You can create a small world for the child separate from the bedroom in this little bedroom cocoon!!! It's cozy and pretty, and can be decorated to match the room. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. First, you need to find the largest free standing wardrobe you can get. It needs to be wide, to be able to put a small twin or at least a crib mattress in it. You can leave the doors on or take them off. But do take off all door latches so they cannot close the doors from inside and can't get out. The doors come in handy for more decoration and for putting hooks on and hanging clothes or coats on. You can hang a quilt over the doors for storage.

2. Next, Take out the clothes pole from inside the wardrobe. Paint the wardrobe to match the room' s decor, it's great to paint white and put the same color of the wall paper, or wall paint on the inside of the wardrobe. When paint has completely dried, put in wall lamps attached to the inside wall of the wardrobe. Just hang some plug in lamps with low wattage bulbs, and put cords through a hole in the back of the wardrobe so you can remove later after child grows.

3. Next, Put in a Mattress that fits the wardrobe, beautiful sheets and fluffy pillows. Put a shelf high up to put their little toys and books on. Then put plastic stick-on hooks on the higher part of the walls to hang up little personal items they love. If you can find a wardrobe that has drawers in the bottom, you have double usage, more storage!!!!
