Instructions
1. Measure the length of your closet rod with a measuring tape.
2. Purchase a wooden dowel rod from a local home-improvement store that's one-quarter inch shorter than the closet rod.
3. Remove the screws on the closet-rod brackets, then remove the rod from the wall.
4. Insert the wooden dowel rod in the hollow closet rod to reinforce it.
5. Put the closet rod back up on the wall by reinserting the screws in the bracket to secure it in place.
