Where Get Soul Dust In "World Of Warcraft"

Soul Dust is a low-level reagent for the enchanting profession in the "World of Warcraft" online game. The only way of obtaining Soul Dust, other than purchasing it from the auction house, is to disenchant uncommon-quality items with an item level between 26 and 35. Several methods exist to obtain these items.

Clearing Dungeons

If you have access to a higher-level character, clearing dungeons of the appropriate level by yourself can be an efficient way of gathering items to disenchant. Scarlet Monastery, Razorfen Kraul and Maraudon all host enemies that can drop items with the appropriate item level, although depending on the amount of Soul Dust you need, it may take you several dungeon clears to obtain enough items.

Completing Quests

Quests in several zones reward items with the appropriate item level. Complete quests in the Cape of Stranglethorn, Southern Barrens, Hinterlands, Feralas, Western Plaguelands, Desolace and other zones with enemies of a similar level, then disenchant all of the quest rewards. While questing, you may also find items with the appropriate item level as random drops from enemies you kill.

Crafting Items

Depending on what professions you have access to, you may be able to mass-produce items that will disenchant into Soul Dust. For example, if your character is a tailor, you can craft Azure Silk Hoods, Silk Headbands or Crimson Silk Vests, while if your character is a blacksmith, you can craft Green Iron Bracers or Green Iron Leggings. Jewelcrafters can craft Pendants of the Agate Shield, Amulets of the Moon or Rings of Silver Might, while leatherworkers can craft Guardian Pants, Barbaric Shoulders, Hillman's Leather Gloves, Hillman's Cloak or Barbaric Leggings.

Auction House

Check the auction house regularly for cheap items with the appropriate item level. These may be random drop items listed by players who have no use for them, as well as crafted items players mass-produced in order to increase their skill in a profession. Although the default auction house interface does not allow you to search by item level, several auction house add-ons exist with this feature, such as Auctionator.

Considerations

Consider both time investment and gold expenditure carefully when deciding on a way to obtain Soul Dust, and always check what the price of Soul Dust is on the auction house before purchasing or crafting items. For example, it would be pointless to spend five gold to obtain an item to disenchant if Soul Dust only costs 20 silver each. Similarly, if you can earn several hundred gold per hour on a high-level character by completing daily quests and the auction house price for Soul Dust is low, spending several hours clearing low-level dungeons to obtain items to disenchant would be less efficient than completing the daily quests and then purchasing Soul Dust from the auction house, both in terms of time spent and in terms of gold.
