Having lighting in your closet is a must.

Having lighting in your closets is a must. Closets are usually the darkest point in your home, but are also one of the most active. Getting ready for work in the morning and trying to tear through your clothes in the dark isn't fun. Being able to tap a light, and see all of your clothing, makes life a little easier. An installation of battery-powered light fixtures will make your closets more accessible, and your mornings a little brighter. Battery-powered lights are inexpensive, decrease the risk of electrical fires. and generate plenty of light. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Dust the area in your closet where the lights will be installed, using your dry cloth. This may require a stepladder, depending where you plan to install the lights. Most battery-powered lights are adhesive, and will need a clean, dry place to be installed. Ensure that the area where the light will be placed is not in direct contact with any type of clothing or material.

2. Install the batteries into your lights. The batteries are generally installed on the backside of the fixture. After battery installation, test the lights to ensure everything is in working order.

3. Apply the adhesive strips that came with the light fixtures. These adhesive strips should be installed on the backside of the lights, on either side of the battery compartment.

4. Attach the lights to the places you have dusted and cleaned. Again, this may require a stepladder. Using light pressure, press the light into place, ensuring a snug grip.
