The Mid-Town Motel lies close to the Saint-Gobain glass factory and caters to business travelers as well as those passing through. The motel provides a microwave and small refrigerator. There is no restaurant on-premises but you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at Mick's Diner. Mick's serves plate dinners with daily specials, soups, salads and burgers. Moe's Bar and Grill offers burgers, wings and pizza along with libations of your choice and is open until 2 a.m. every night of the week. Make time in your schedule to visit the Eldred World War II Museum in Eldred, Pennsylvania, just 20 minutes north of Port Allegany. Eldred was the site of a munitions plant, originally built to supply Britain in the war just months before the United States became involved on December 7, 1941.
The Inn on Maple Street
Enjoy a touch of warmth at the Inn on Maple Street where each of the rooms is filled with various homey touches such as afghans, lace curtains, antique furniture and cozy fireplaces. The inn welcomes children and pets, and provides terrycloth robes for your comfort. The rooms are named after stately trees: the Magnolia room, the Blue Spruce Room and the Oak room. Breakfast consists of a variety of home-baked breads, muffins and pastries along with hot and cold cereals. The inn also sponsors an afternoon Victorian Tea with homemade finger sandwiches and pastries.
