Shoe storage systems come in different shapes and sizes, but the most commonly used storage systems are hung on walls. The systems allow for shoes to be removed from the floor and clears up precious storage space. wall shoe storage systems typically come as wooden shelving or plastic "click and lock" systems. Both are fairly easy to hang on walls. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
Wooden Systems
1. Use a stud finder to find beams in the wall. Drag the stud finder along the wall until it beeps. Mark the spot were it beeped, then continue until you find another stud. Mark that spot with a pen as well.
2. Drill pilot holes into the wall using a hammer and nail. The pilot holes will serve as a guide when you secure the shelving into place.
3. Have a friend hold the shelving in place. Take the hammer and nails and drive the nail through the storage system into the wall. Repeat the process until the shelf is secured into place.
Plastic Storage Systems
4. Take the plastic storage system out of the packaging and assemble the pieces as per the instructions. Most plastic systems work on a "click and lock" system that simply requires you to place the pieces together until they lock into place.
5. take the storage system and hold it against the wall or door you want to hang it from. Have a friend mark the spot where the system will go. Take the storage system and set it aside.
6. Hammer pilot holes into the wall or door where you are going to hang the system. The pilot holes will serve as a guide to where the screws or nails will go.
7. Have a friend hold the system up. Make sure the system is straight with the level then use a hammer to drive the nails into place. Continue until the system is secured to the wall or door.
