Make a basketball-themed bedroom to always feel like you're on the court.
Sports run in seasons, and when the season is over you're left waiting for the next year before you can watch your favorite team again. Licensed Gear
Purchase official L.A. Lakers bedding from authorized retailers. The NBA offers official gear for all teams, but expect to pay a bit more than usual for NBA-licensed materials. Buy pictures of your favorite players, frame them and hang them around the room. You can purchase a jersey, maybe even get a signed one, and hang that on the wall along with the photos.
Colors
Paint the room purple and gold to go with the L.A. Lakers colors. Select one color to dominate and use the other for trim, around doorways and around the windows. Get specific Lakers curtains to hang in the windows.
Hoop
No basketball theme is complete without a hoop. Hang a regulation basketball hoop on the wall away from the bed in an open space. Purchase a soft ball to practice shooting with. You can even paint lines on the floor to create a free throw line. Tape is an option if you don't want to permanently alter the floor. Be careful when choosing the material for the hoop and the type of ball.
Lockers
Instead of using closets or free-standing organizers to hold your belongings, get sports lockers to place in your room to make it look like a gym. If you have a lot of stuff that needs storage, purchase more than one. You can even paint one purple and one gold to match the Lakers' official colors.
