Use Pegboard

A pegboard is an inexpensive tool for organizing your home or office. By mounting hooks and trays of varying sizes you can use space that otherwise would be wasted. Pegboards work in closets, storage rooms, garages and workshops. Hang baskets for storage; use hooks for shoes, hats, ties and tools. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Use the measuring tape to determine how large a pegboard you can hang. Lay pegboard material on a flat surface and mark off the dimensions.

2. Cut the pegboard to the appropriate size with the jig saw.

3. Cover a paint work area with a disposable cover. Set pegboard flat on the covered area. Spray an even coat of paint on the board; Allow it to dry, then spray on a second coat.

4. Use a stud finder to find studs for attaching the pegboard. With a level, make sure the pegboard is evenly hung and screw it in. Gently shake the pegboard to ensure it is secure.

5. Insert a pegboard hook or tray at the upper left corner of the pegboard. Work in sections hanging hooks and trays to fill the pegboard and organize your items.
