Start A Home Cleaning & Organizing Business

Organize people's lives.

People can always use some help cleaning and organizing their house, and often times they are more than happy to pay someone to do it. With so many two-income families, the opportunities for a successful home cleaning and organizing business are better than ever. If you enjoy neatness and order, and have a little entrepreneurial flare, this may be the perfect business for you.

Instructions

1. Learn all you can about cleaning and organizing homes. Simply having a knack for organizing won't make a successful business. Practice on your own house, and with family and friends, to develop a system and perfect your techniques.

2. Decide precisely what services you will provide with your business. Will you specialize in cleaning certain areas and organizing only closets or garages, or will you do whatever needs to be done?

3. Purchase all of the equipment and accessories necessary to perform the services you will include in your business.

4. Obtain any permits you will need to operate your business. Also contact an insurance agent and get the right insurance for the type of services you will be performing.

5. Promote your new business. Have family and friends spread the word. Create business cards and flyers and distribute them in your area. Consider starting a website to highlight your services, price list and show samples of work you've done.
