Putting Shelves In A Closet

Adding shelves to a closet increases storage space.


Closets are great places to store items that you don't want visible in the house. Although they are good for storage, they can become cluttered if everything is thrown in there haphazardly. Installing shelves in your closet makes it a bit more organized. Even adding on simple shelf at the top of the closet will add a new element of organization. Adding a shelf is not difficult, especially when you use pre-cut shelves from a hardware store. Does this Spark an idea?


Instructions


1. Measure the height and width of the closet to determine what size shelving is needed.


2. Make a pencil mark at the desired height of the closet shelving.


3. Draw a line the length of the desired shelving using a level to make the line straight. The line will mark the bottom of your shelving.


4. Place the top of the shelving bracket at the bottom of the shelving line you drew. Install the screws using a drill. Install wall anchors if drilling into drywall.


5. Place the shelves onto the brackets and attach according to the instructions.
