Wire Shelving Colors

Wire shelving provides an economical way to store goods without taking up too much floor space. Available in configurations to help maximize closet space as well as for use in the kitchen or living room, wire shelving is available in several colors. This ensures the homeowner can match his shelf to the color scheme of the room. Does this Spark an idea?

White

One of the most common colors of wire shelving, white goes with most color walls. This color is especially popular with apartments that feature white interior walls throughout the entire complex. Of course, white shows dirt easily and may not be suitable for use in areas with high degrees of grease and dirt, such as garages. Wherever white wire shelves are installed, a rigorous cleaning schedule must be maintained.

Flame

Flame, a designer color offered by Metro Wire Shelving, is a brilliant red that is compatible with both light- and dark-colored walls. Flame red is especially compatible with white, blue and red walls.

Stainless Steel

As suitable for kitchen shelving as it is for the closet, stainless steel wire matches stainless steel and chrome kitchen appliances or fixtures. This material also features a lifetime resistance to corrosion.

Brite

Similar to stainless steel, Brite has a brighter finish that appears more highly reflective. This color, like stainless steel, is a cool neutral and works for dozens of kitchen color schemes from gray to blue, yellow, metallic and even wood grain. It also is a Metro shelving product.

Black

Black is a low-profile color that contributes to a contemporary look. This color is stark when contrasted with white walls but blends well with walls that are gray or muted green.

Smoked Glass

This color is a metallic gray that, while it is not as highly reflective as Brite, provides a close match for brushed chrome such as the type used in appliances and shelving. This type of shelving is compatible with blues, grays, whites and even some shades of purple.

Hunter Green

Another Metro specialty color, Hunter Green is designed to match dark green walls. This hue is similar to forest green and is reminiscent of an evergreen tree's needles.

Chrome

Highly reflective, Chrome not only provides a high shine, it is also resistant to scratching and other minor abrasions. This material works well with most color schemes in the kitchen, closet or garage.
