Clean A Closet Maid Organizer

Smelly shoes can prompt your Closet Maid to give off a musty smell over time.

Closet Maid organizers are effective for helping clear up some of the clutter that clothing, shoes and other items can create in your closet. Although these small, wooden shelves can help tidy up a closet, if they are not cleaned, they can collect dust and dirt and give your closet a musty smell. Learning clean a Closet Maid organizer can help keep your closet both organized and smelling great. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Pull all clothing, shoes or other items out of your Closet Maid organizer and set them aside. Use a dryer sheet or static cling duster to collect any dust off of the inside and outside of shelving. You can usually find static cling dusters in the cleaner section of most general stores.

2. Mix together two cups of white vinegar with one and a half cups of water in a sprayer bottle and shake it up well. Spray down the surfaces of your Closet Maid cleaner with a layer of solution and let it sit for a minute or two. Wipe away the solution with a clean rag.

3. Spray surfaces again and if you have any stains, let the solution sit atop them for a couple of minutes, then gently rub away. Vinegar is a functional, all-natural cleaning solution that will not damage your Closet Maid's paint, and will help get rid of any odors caused by dust or dirt buildup.

4. Let your Closet Maid sit empty for an hour so that the vinegar smell can evaporate. Wash any items that may be dirty before putting them back into the Closet Maid, to prevent any bad smells from returning.
