Keeping your bathroom towels effectively organized in a linen cabinet will allow you to retrieve the right towel with ease whenever you need it. Setting up a linen cabinet depends entirely on the size and number of shelves of the cabinet and the number of towels you wish to include. With enough space, you can organize your bath towels, hand towels and face cloths with ease. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Separate the different types of towels you wish to include in the cabinet into like piles. By putting your bath towels together, your hand towels together and your face cloths together, you will be able to gauge how much space you require for each style of towel. If you have other items to organize in the cabinet, such as bathroom mats, set them aside, too.
2. Place the largest items, such as the bath towels and bathroom mats, on the lower shelves of the cabinet after folding or rolling them. Folding towels is a common method of storage, but rolling them and inserting the rolls end-on can make for a unique look, especially if the cabinet has no doors. Putting the largest items at the bottom of the cabinet prevents it from looking heavy at the top. Because the bath towels are the largest type of towel, you may need to place them on the bottom two shelves.
3. Set one or more of each kind of towel on the next shelf up from the bath towels if you have small children. If you want to encourage your kids to get their own towels when needed, rather than ask you, it's important that the towels are within reach. If you have two children, place two types of each towel on this shelf.
4. Place the hand towels on the middle-to-upper shelves and the face cloths on the upper shelf, depending on how many you have of each kind. If you live alone, you might only have a couple sets of these towels, which allows you to place them on the same shelf and reserve other shelves in the cabinet for storage.
