Hide Clutter In The Bedroom

Keep your bedroom uncluttered to add appeal.

With a hectic schedule -- work, school or just family life -- your bedroom cleanliness may take a toll. Excessive clutter in your bedroom can attract bugs, mold or just plain unattractiveness to it. Uncluttering your room might take a full day of dedicated cleanup, but developing a system for everything will rid your room of the clutter and keep it clutter free for good. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Organize your dirty clothing. Place all dirty clothes lying around into a laundry hamper. Keeping the laundry hamper in your bedroom or in your bathroom will prevent clothes from building up in the bedroom.

2. Collect all clean clothes and place them on your bed. Organize what should be hung up in the closet and fold the rest and place them on the closet shelves or in dresser drawers.

3. Organize your closet and dresser drawers. Remove clothing that is not season-appropriate or that you simply do not wear any more. Place out of season clothing in a storage container and take the rest of the clothing you do not want to a nonprofit organization that accepts clothing donations.

4. Place all CDs and DVDs in their proper cases and store them on a shelf in your bedroom or around your house. Keep them neatly stacked and return them back to their location promptly after use.

5. Keep books and magazines neatly organized on a bookshelf or nightstand. Donate any unused or unwanted books and recycle old magazines.

6. Keep a medium-sized basket in your bedroom. Place items that have no assigned place or that you do not have time to put back inside this basket. Once a week, go through the basket and place everything into its proper place.

7. Keep papers stacked in shoe boxes and storage boxes and place them under your bed or in your closet for safekeeping.
