Pullout shelves can provide space saving storage for electronic equipment such as stereos, game systems and appliances. A pullout shelf takes about an hour to build and install. Just follow these steps. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Measure the cabinet for size from side to side and mark the center point where the shelf will be installed. Measure the platform from the kit and mark the center point as well.

2. Line up the center marks on the cabinet and platform.

3. Extend the platform to reveal the support tracks under the platform.

4. Clamp the platform in place until it is secured in the cabinet.

5. Screw the platforms to the cabinet using the screws provided.

6. Cut the shelf wood to fit the measurements of the cabinet. Subtract one inch from the measurement of the cabinet taken earlier. Sand the edges so that the shelf will pull out with ease.

7. Measure the shelf and mark the center. Place the shelf in the cabinet with the center marks aligned.

8. Attach the shelf to the platform with the screws provided in the kit. Screw them from the bottom up. The platform must be fully extended to attach the shelf correctly.
