Diy Custom Closet Ideas

Use dividers to organize and expand storage space.


Creating a custom closet can save space and cut down on dressing time while keeping clothes organized. Take inventory of your clothing to determine your needs for shelving and racks. Does this Spark an idea?


Two-Tier Clothes Racks


Make your existing closet space more efficient by creating a two-tier system to hang clothes. Use the top rod for blouses and shirts, and the bottom rod for pants and skirts. This will double your storage space.


Jewelry and Accessory Pegboard


Organize jewelry, scarves and ties by using a pegboard. Have it cut at a home improvement center, then paint or cover with fabric. Use the hooks to hold the items according to length.


Ironing Board Station


Create an ironing board station inside of the closet to take care of all your dressing needs in one space. Simply add hooks on the wall to hang the ironing board and a small shelf or metal basket to hold the iron.


Dressing Table Island
