Wear Beige Shoes

Beige is the color of desert sand and is also called nude, taupe and sometimes neutral.

Recently, beige shoes have become a ubiquitous trend on the red carpet. While they were initially made by top designers and worn by celebrities, a beige heel is now available at virtually every price point and in every shoe store. This trend is so flattering and easy to wear that it is likely to become a staple of the 2010 plus decade, if not a timeless classic. There are a few different ways you can wear beige shoes in accordance with today's style.

Instructions

1. Pair beige flats with shorts in the spring and summer. Sandals aren't always appropriate or desired footwear as they expose the top and bottom of your feet to dirt and germs as you walk. Flats cover your feet well, but can shorten the look of your legs if you're in a pair of shorts. To fix this dilemma wear beige flats with any pair of shorts in your wardrobe from denim cut-offs to silky dress shorts. Your legs will appear longer and your feet will be covered.

2. Wear beige flats and/or heels with skirts and dresses. Women used to wear hosiery when they put on a skirt or a dress. These days, women keep their legs bare in warmer weather and beige shoes are the perfect way to make your legs look longer and slimmer. For a more casual look, go for a flat. For work or a nighttime style put on a pair of beige heels. Beige heels have been worn by virtually every female celebrity from Cameron Diaz to Rhianna.

3. Wear your beige heels with dark, opaque tights. Avant garde style setters use their beige heels in fall and winter too. To add a pop of neutral color to a dark outfit (of gray, black, navy or a combination thereof) put on your tights and then slip on your beige shoes.

4. Wear your shoes with pants. Beige shoes can also be worn with any pant in your wardrobe. Dress up denim with a patent beige heel or flat. Lengthen your legs by pairing a beige heel with cropped trousers.
