Replacing the doors of the closet in a master bedroom is no different than changing the closet doors in any bedroom. Because the master bedroom is a selling point in homes, upgrading the closet doors adds more value to your home. Instructions
1. Remove traditional closet doors by grasping each door firmly and lifting it off the sliding track. Set the doors aside for recycling. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws holding the guide tracks in place.
2. Remove all other types of closet doors and set them aside for recycling. All other doors are removed by taking the hinge pin out of the door hinge, setting the door aside, then using the screwdriver to remove the old hinges.
3. Install the new closet doors. Attach the new hinges to the door frame, using the location of the old hinges as your guide. Ideally, the new hinges will cover the location of the old ones and use the same pilot holes. Attach the hinges to the new doors, making certain the doors open and close with ease.
4. Attach new door handle with included hardware. Closet doors are not normally sold with handles attached, though most do have pre-drilled holes for easy mounting of the handle. Choose a handle that complements your decor and attach it with the included screws and the screwdriver.
