An envelope appears on your Alltel phone to alert you of new messages.
As an Alltel customer, you receive voicemail as part of your plan. Callers to your phone can leave voice messages when you are unable to answer the phone. You can retrieve the voicemail messages at your convenience, and you can reset your voicemail greeting within the voicemail system to the standard greeting at any time. The voicemail's password can also be reset from your phone's handset.
Instructions
Voicemail Greeting Reset
1. Dial "*86" from your Alltel phone and press the "Send" key. Enter your voicemail's password when prompted.
2. Press "4" to select "Personal Options" from the main menu.
3. Press "3" to access your phone's "Greetings."
4. Press "1" to access the greetings menu. Select the option to use the system default greeting.
Password Reset
5. Dial "*611" from your Alltel phone and press the "Send" key.
6. Select option "2" to reset your voicemail password.
7. Press "1" to access the password reset menu.
8. Enter your five-digit billing zip code.
9. Follow the prompts to verify your identity and then reset your password by entering a new password. Reenter the password to confirm it.
