Non Profit Organizations That Clothe Children In New York

Many nonprofits in New York City provide clothing for children in need.


Nonprofit organizations provide charitable, educational and other needed services in their communities. Families and individuals living in poverty, who are homeless or otherwise in need may utilize the services of nonprofits for food, shelter and clothing. Several organizations in New York provide clothing assistance for children and families in need.


Room to Grow


Room to Grow seeks to enrich the lives of children from birth to age 3 by providing strong and stable parents. The organization reaches out to pregnant women and mothers who are in need of assistance throughout the New York City metropolitan area. The organization provides parenting support and educational classes. In addition, Room to Grow also provides necessary baby items, such as clothing, bedding and baby gear, for infants and children up to 3 years of age.


Catholic Charities of Archdiocese of New York


Catholic Charities of New York provides assistance to homeless and low-income individuals. Through many sub-agencies, Catholic Charities offers services that assist vulnerable children, homeless individuals, families in crisis, immigrants and those physically or emotionally challenged. Counseling services, hot meals, shelter, clothing and support are some of the services offered.


Center for Urban Community Services


The Center for Urban Community Services provides a range of services to homeless or low-income individuals and families. Through Single Stop centers in East Harlem, Central Harlem and the Bronx, the center provides benefits and legal assistance as well as financial counseling. The center also may provide clothing assistance depending on the individual or family's need.


Lenox Hill Neighborhood House


The Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is a comprehensive service provider located on the east side of Manhattan. The organization provides extensive services to children, families, older adults, the homeless and other vulnerable populations. Through children and family service programs, Lenox Hill provides early childhood centers, summer camps and after-school programs. Children and families who utilize their services may receive clothing and food assistance. Individuals and families assisted by the organizations' housing and homeless services also can receive clothing assistance.
