Remodel A Virtual Demonstrator

Appliances, countertops and cabinets all change in style over time.

Virtual demonstrators are displays in home improvement stores like Home Depot that have products like new sinks, counter tops, bathtubs and shower surrounds. These demonstrators allow customers to see what the products would look like in an actual kitchen or bathroom. They are life-size kitchens and bathrooms that are open to the store that customers can explore before actually purchasing. By remodeling these demonstrators, the stores can introduce new products to their customers. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Pick the new products you want to showcase in the virtual demonstrator. These should be products that are new to the store and the market that will interest customers.

2. Remove the pieces in the demonstrator that will be replaced with new products. Remove appliances and cabinets carefully with a dolly. These pieces can be sold as floor samples.

3. Install the new products into the demonstrator. You do not have to plug in appliances; you can just move them into place.

4. Decorate the demonstrator. You want the customers to see themselves in that kitchen or bathroom and feel comfortable, so add a kitchen towel, sponge and soap by the sink and decorative accessories like faux fruit in a bowl or a vase with silk flowers. Make it look like home.
