As a DVD collection grows, the space for storing it shrinks. If the space that the discs take up exceeds the capacity of your storage area, the result can be an expansive and unmanageable mess. A DVD storage binder can significantly reduce this space and help to organize your collection. DVD binders are easy to make with a few basic supplies, as long as you're willing to get rid of the original DVD cases. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Open the three-ring binder and set it open side up on a flat surface. Pull on the levers to the top and bottom of the spine in order to unfasten the binder's rings. Place the DVD sleeves in the binder, guiding the three holes on the sleeves over one half of the binder rings. Push the binder levers inward toward the binder to close the rings again.
2. Organize your DVDs in alphabetical order. Remove each disc from its case and place it in a sleeve in the binder; insert the discs from top to bottom and front to back, maintaining the order. Continue placing the discs into more binders if your collection is large enough to warrant it.
3. Locate each page where the first letter of the title advances to the next letter, open the binder rings and insert a divider page. Write the letter onto a divider label and insert it into the portion that sticks out from the pages. If you have more than one binder, place a sticker label onto the binder with the range of the alphabet included in that volume.
