Unlike sliding or conventional doors, bifold doors allow you to see the entire contents inside the closet all at once. Closet
Bifold doors work well on the closet and save space in the bedroom. You may choose to use double bifold doors which open to the sides and will not take up as much space as conventional doors. You will have a complete view of the closet or simply open one door to view contents on a single side.
Laundry Room
Bifold doors on the laundry room will separate that space from the rest of the house. A laundry room off the kitchen is a common set up in homes. A bifold door will prevent the view of the laundry room and muffle the sound of the washer and dryer. It is a convenience when guests come to visit.
Playroom
A bifold door may be used in a playroom. A bifold door is lighter and safer for children. It is easier for children to open and close so they are not trapped in the playroom or unable to enter. It is also safer because if children have their hand on the door jam the bifold door will not close completely on their hand or fingers.
Garage Door
Large scale bifold doors are often found on garages. These doors function manually or with a remote control and will lock in place. Bifold garage doors are a more contemporary option than dated solid doors that fold up and down as one solid piece.
