Design Custom Cabinets And Desk

1. Obtain one piece of pre-cut plywood that is 7-by-3 feet for the top of the desk. Obtain two pieces of plywood that are 4-by-3 feet for the legs. Nail the head piece to the two bottom legs to create the outer frame for the desk.

2. Obtain one more 4-by-3 foot leg piece and just place it under the desk on the right side leaving one foot of space from the edge leg. The drawers will be inserted in this space.

3. Nail three small pieces of plywood that are 2-by-1 feet together to make the sides and bottom of a box, and two 1-by-1 pieces of plywood to each end to create a box shape that is open at the top.

Repeat this step to make a second box shape.

These will be the two desk drawers.

4. Insert one box shape drawer between the two table legs on the right side to make sure it will fit.

Now nail inner leg in place.

5. Separate the two pieces of one drawer slider. Nail one drawer slider piece to the side of the drawer and attach the other to the desk. Repeat for other side of the drawer and desk leg.

Do this for both drawers.

6. Insert the drawers into desk to make sure they will slide in and out.

7. Sand the desk so it is smooth and then apply wood varnish. Dry according to varnish instructions before using the desk.
