Find The Owner Of A Home In Queens New York

You can find a NYC property owner's name from the comfort of your own home using the NYC Finance Department's ACRIS system.

You can find ownership records for property in New York City with the Automated City Register Information System. All you need is the address of the property you want information about. Using ACRIS, you can view document images and print document data. This information can be located online or in each City Register Borough office.

Instructions

1. Go to the ACRIS Online City Register and click the "Begin Using ACRIS" link. This will open the ACRIS website in a new tab or window.

2. Click the "Find Addresses and Parcels" link on the ACRIS home page, which will take you to the "Lookup" page.

3. Click the radio button next to "Property Address." Select "Queens" as the borough and enter the "Street Number," Street Name" and Unit (if needed).

Example: If the address is 3938 Bell Boulevard, Queens, NY, select "Queens" as the borough, enter "3938" as the street number and enter "Bell Boulevard" as the street name. This is not a condominium or coop, so you do not need a unit number. One entity owns the building.

4. Click the "Find BBL" button. The correct property borough, block and lot number (BBL) will auto-fill on the form.

5. Click the "Document Search by BBL" button once you have the BBL to go to the "Search by Parcel Identifier" page. The BBL is auto-filled on this form. Click the "Search" button to go to the results page. The owner is listed in the column labeled "Party1" on the "Search Results by Parcel Identifier" page.
