Organizing CDs in a storage box keeps them from getting damaged.
Organizing your CDs makes it quick and easy for you to locate your favorite songs when you want to listen to your music. Many times, CDs are scattered all over the house or the car. Organizing them in a storage box helps you easily locate them, keeping them all in one place at your fingertips. If you find yourself always tearing apart your house for that favorite CD, it's time to place your music in a storage box system. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Sort your CDs into three piles: one pile designated "Donate," another pile designated "Keep" and a third pile "Trash." Donate CDs you no longer want to friends, schools or libraries. Throw away CDs that are damaged.
2. Categorize the CDs you are keeping. One possible category is genre. Examples include Rock, Alternative Rock, Jazz, Country, Broadway, etc. Another option is to alphabetize your CD box. Breaking your CD collection up by artist is another option.
3. Purchase a CD box. (See Resource section.) Place all CDs in the box in the order you have decided.
4. Create a master list of the CDs. Beginning at the top of the paper, type the name of your CD and number them as you go down the page. This provides a list of what is in your box and the number will help you quickly find the CD you are looking for, since the CDs will be placed in the box in the order of your list. Place the list in the front of the storage box.
