Home Office
If you are living in a small space and you can't find room for your home office, then try looking at a closet. Transforming a closet into a home office is a great idea if you have an extra closet and you don't have anywhere else to put your home office. A closet is big enough to hold all of your supplies and is out of the way from the rest of the room
Instructions
1. Decide on what closet you are going to use for your home office. If your closet is currently being used, remove all the items from the closet and place them somewhere else. You should not attempt to have a home office in a closet that you are still partially using as a closet.
2. Take the doors off your closet to fit your home office in it. Unless you want to keep pets or children away from your home office, it is a good idea to take the doors off. This gives you more space and freedom when working. Also, remove the clothes rod if it has one. Make sure the closet is completely empty.
3. Measure the closet so that you can plan out your home office. Look into shelving, desks, and filing cabinets. You may have to get creative and utilize the small space that you have for your home office the best way possible.
4. Put up your shelves and desk into the closet. Organize all your supplies and paperwork so that it is easy accessible in the home office. Keeping your home office organized will help you get accustomed to the small space and won't make it feel as small as if the space was messy.
5. Purchase a home office chair that will fit with the desk in the closet area. You don't want this huge chair sticking out of your closet area.
6. Add little touches to your home office to make it your own. Hang pictures, a bulletin board or a calendar on the wall if you wish.
