Pegboards allow you to customize the storage of tools and parts on a wall. Unlike with tool chests and cabinets, items place on a pegboard will be easy to see and convenient to grab when needed. They can be cheaper to purchase. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
Preparation
1. Clear the area where you want to install the pegboard. Give yourself plenty of room to work.
2. Locate the studs with a stud finder and mark them with the pencil. Using the level as a guide, draw a line up the center of each stud.
3. Measure and cut the pegboard to the size you want.
4. Mark the lines of holes in the middle of the pegboard that will go over studs. Line up the spacers with holes and secure them with masking tape.

5. Position the lower left corner of the pegboard where you want it. Attach it to the wall with the screw running through the pegboard then the spacer and into the stud.
6. Adjust the board's position. Make sure it is sitting square by using the level along an end to check that it is vertical. Screw in the top right corner using the spacers to keep the board away from the wall.
7. Screw the other two corners in the same way. Once the corners are secure, insert the remaining screws.
