Redo A Laundry Room

Organization makes the job of doing laundry more efficient.

The laundry room in your home requires organization to ensure efficiency while you're doing the basic but time-consuming task of washing your sheets and clothing. Cabinets and storage bins can help you organize your laundry room, making the job go more quickly because you no longer have to rummage around for what you need. Adding elements such as a CD player and rug makes the time that you do spend in the laundry room pass more enjoyably. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Add three medium-sized baskets to the laundry room to sort lights, darks and whites. When you take clothes that need to be washed into the laundry room, throw each piece into the appropriate basket. Then, when it's time to do a load, just dump the contents of a basket into the washer.

2. Organize your cleaning products from left to right on a shelf above the washer and dryer. For example, place the strain-treatment on the shelf first, followed by the laundry detergent and then the fabric softener.

3. Place a cushioned rug in front of the sorting table to reduce leg strain while you're folding clothes.

4. Add a CD player to your laundry room so that you can listen to music while you're washing or folding.

5. Hang a cork board on the wall. A cork board can be used to hang lost and found socks to better organize your laundry.
