Buy A Trucker Hat

Somehow trucker hats have become cool. Chalk it up to one of those weird counter culture trends that takes everyone by shock. And if someday they become the fashion faux pas of the past, then you will have flashy "Johnny-come-lately" Hollywood stars to blame. If you want to buy a trucker hat, then here are some tips to help your head find the mesh that makes it look best. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Visit sites like Meshhat or Lids for the latest and greatest (and edgiest) when it comes to the trucker hat styles. In just a couple quick clicks of the mouse, you can have a mesh trucker hat on your lid in no time.

2. Check out the trendy shops in your area. When it comes to trucker hats, very few national chains carry such items. You can try Wal-Mart or Target, but they don't really specialize in it. One national chain that does from time to time carry trucker hats is Urban Outfitters. Otherwise, go to the downtown areas like the shops on Melrose in Los Angeles or the Village in New York. It's a great way to spend an afternoon and feel the pulse of the city you're in.

3. Go to vintage shops in your area. While most of these "mom and pops" are localized and will have to be looked up on the yellow pages, sites like Consignmentshops will list some vintage shops by state. These are notorious for trucker hats because they were a popular item of yesteryear. And when it comes to trucker hat collection the originals are always the most sought after.

4. Bid on auction sites such as eBay. eBay has created a completely new marketplace among buyers and sellers all over the world. And many of those people are literally cleaning out their closet and putting items on auction sites. Enter "trucker hats." Their trash can be your treasure. Simply open an account and bid. Just be sure to buy from a reputable dealer with a good seller rating.

5. Swing by flea markets to search for trucker hats. Clothing and more specifically vintage clothing like trucker hats are always big business at flea markets. Check out the Fleamarket Guide website for events in your area.
