Donating food in New York City can be rewarding because you are helping those in need. Today, there are so many people out of work that food pantries are the only way find that they can have enough food to feed their families. To donate food in NYC helps anyone in need. There are many food items needed, but non-perishable items are what the food pantries and organization need the most. Can goods, bathroom necessaries and other food items are always appreciated. Instructions
1. Giving food to the Aids Service Center will provide many missions with food to serve to needs of the community. The food pantries help the homeless and those that need help when jobs are lost. The organization needs canned goods and other non-perishable items.
2. Donate to a good cause with the Family Justice Center that operates shelters for those that have left homes because of domestic violence. The center is always looking for non-perishable foods items for babies through adult. Baby formula and baby foods are always needed.
3. Help the Food Bank for NYC by donating non-perishable food items. This organization distributes foods to other food pantries in the city that give out food to those in need. You can donate the food by visiting the website or contacting them by phone.
4. Give food to the Project Hospitality organization that helps low-income families and homeless people get the food they need to live. Food items in a box or canned goods are needed every day. The organization never has to much food.
5. Donate to food pantries such as the Red Cross or the Salvation Army. Churches also conduct food pantry drives. These organizations accept food that is non-perishable for distribution throughout New York City.
