Create and Order Flyers Online
Numerous online services make it easy to create and order flyers. All you need is an Internet connection and a decent "eye" for design.
Instructions
1. Visit an online printing service where you can design a flyer with a web tool and submit the order for printing (see "Resources" for an example). Some services will give you a template file to download and open in a popular graphic design program such as Adobe Photoshop or InDesign to create your flyer. Others provide template design options.
2. Determine the flyer size. Common flyers range from 8 1/2 by 11 inches to around 11 by 17 inches. Some flyers can be as large as 24 by 36 inches.
3. Choose a background for the flyer-either an image (like a flower or an intricate design) or a solid color. The background can be changed later, but it's important to select one to guide the rest of your design.
4. Type in a headline and keep it to four or five words maximum. Size the headline at 48 points or higher and find a font you like.
5. Place a picture on the page and position it accordingly.
6. Type in a few bullet points about your event, promotion, product or service in 24- to 48-point font. Provide details in smaller print (about 14 point) at the bottom of the flyer.
7. Play with the colors and fonts of the text until it's attractive and eye-catching.
8. Look over and approve the online proof-a display of the finalized flyer on your screen. Create an account with the service, choose your quantity, and submit the order for printing. Allow one to two weeks for processing and mailing.
