Adding a couple more racks and bins can make a real difference.
There is nothing more useful than having organization when you have children. From toy boxes to bins and plastic containers, the possibilities for organizing are endless -- the same goes with closet space. Save time and effort by providing your kids with an ample amount of storage while also teaching them to clean up after themselves. Does this Spark an idea?
Modular Storage
Use baskets for socks, stuffed animals, hats, purses or even shoes.
Modular storage changes with your child. When children are infants many things come on hangers and are tiny. Multiple clothing rods are needed in addition to shallow drawers for tiny socks, hats and bibs. As children grow, however, so do their clothes, which require much more space. Modular storage allows you the option of removing a rack and repositioning it in a new area, as well as adding a shelf or two or even changing up the drawers.
Hanging Shelves
A hanging shelf takes away from rod space, but opens up space in your dresser.
A hanging shelf is a great option if you have a dresser that you need to supplement. Hanging shelves come in a large variety of patterns and colors -- some are even made to look like animals. They work best with piles of neatly folded clothes or pairs of shoes. A hanging shelf features a hook or a loop at the top, so it can easily hang on the clothing rod.
Size Dividers
Similar to what you may find at a department store, size dividers are an effective tool for expectant mothers who receive lots of clothing for the new baby. Size dividers are pieces of formed plastic that fit nicely onto almost any clothing rod. They are meant to go in between clothing to mark the beginning of a new size selection such as 0 to 3 months, 3 to 6 months and 6 to 12 months.
Create Your Own
Your child may not need a whole closet storage system. You should assess the situation to find the best solution for better closet organization. Perhaps it is her shoes that are creating the mess; you can build her a shoe shelf and place some baskets on it for a simple solution. A couple of hooks can do the trick to help to keep those winter sweaters off of the floor.
