Many types and sizes of door organizers are available to help you organize your home. Some hang on the back of the door with hooks that go over the top of the door; some require you to attach the organizer to the door hinges; and others attach directly to the door with wood screws. Keep in mind that you can use more than one type of door organizer. One handy option is the type that attaches to the door itself. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Hold the organizer up to the back of the door and center it. Mark the spots where the screws will go; there will be already be holes in the organizer for them. Stick a sharpened pencil into the holes and make a mark on the door. Set the organizer down somewhere out of the way.
2. Using the wood screws that should have come with the organizer, start a hole on each mark by turning each screw a few turns into the wood of the door.
3. Place the organizer on the door. You might need an assistant to hold the organizer steady. Line up the holes on the organizer with the holes on the door. Put a screw into each hole. Use a screwdriver to tighten each screw until each is in all the way and will no longer turn. The door organizer is now hanging on the back of the door by the screws, ready for use.
4. Place items in or on the door organizer. Develop your own system to help you stay organized. Using door organizers saves time and relieves the frustration and aggravation of not being able to find the things you need readily.
